Some generalizations of the DDVV and BW inequalities

In this paper we generalize the known De Smet, Dillen, Verstraelen and Vrancken (DDVV)-type inequalities for real (skew-)symmetric complex (skew-)Hermitian matrices to arbitrary real, quaternionic matrices.
